![]() ![]() There was opposition to slavery at the time and a lot of holy men and others campaigned against it. If we compare each of the factions to their inspiration, then the Sturgians (Nordic peoples) and Battanians (Celts), then slavery would have been rife, but would have been on a rapid decline due to the spread of Christianity. ![]() Thanks for the critique Stan – to answer your question as to how common slavery would have been in 10th/11th century europe/near east, I would say it would have been quite common, but on the decline.
